Our Story

We love to Escape2Maui and we offer our condo as a vacation rental in Kihei on the warm and sunny, south side of the island to others who also love escaping to Maui!

We enjoy feeling the warm, tropical air, swimming in the ocean, walking on the beach, seeing the natural beauty, marveling at tropical flowers, and escaping from our usual responsibilities.

We divide our time between our home in California and our condo in Kihei on the south side of Maui. We visit Maui frequently - both for the escape factor and to ensure our condo is in top shape.

We've been married 50+ years. We are both artists who have devoted many hours as Escape Artists Doug and Linda in California, Maui, and Europe. Doug is a retired high school teacher who enjoys gardening, golf, and travel. Linda is a former teacher who loves painting and social time with friends. Her paintings can be seen at Hana Coast Gallery in Hana, Maui and Gallery 24 in Los Gatos, California. She has taught art for several years in the art program at Yosemite National Park. We have two sons, two daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren. We love our family time!

Our Escape2Maui condo in the Maui Kamaole Resort in South Kihei is decorated with our original artwork. Guests have expressed their appreciation of our renditions of some of the places they have visited on Maui.

We self-manage our vacation condo to ensure our guests receive the best service we are personally able to provide. There is no middle man and no service fee for booking! If you are interested in renting our condo, you will be communicating directly with us, the owners.

We enjoy hearing excited accounts of visits from our guests, whether it's their 1st or 20th visit to Maui, attending a wedding, getting married, on their honeymoon, having a family reunion or anniversary celebration, birthday party, or just a great Escape2Maui!
